Dual Window or Double Type Sight Glass & Drip Tube Type Sight Flow
Indicator is a simple assembly of two glasses on single cast or
fabricated body at two opposite size, on average body looks like a cross
and it has two side flanges as per customer requested international
standard dimensions and another two side installation of toughened or
tampered borosilicate glasses. As the body have two side inspection view
arrangements by the help of glass window so it is called as Double
Window Type Sight Glass Flow Indicator. Sometimes customer also request
for single window design sight glass assembly to suit their process
requirements. Use of these types of flow indicator is for spot
inspection and view of process parameter.
By the use of very few parts total assembly of double window type sight
flow indicator complete. On main part Sight Glass Body, round tempered
glass with both side gaskets packing and cover tightening by standard
hex bolts and nuts. Gaskets perform as like cushion for borosilicate
round toughened glass and help to prevent leakages from joint of glass,
cover & body assembly. Sight Glass body end connection also can be
Threaded End (BSP/NPT) or Welded End. Sight Glass body length provide as
per DIN EN 558-1 Standard.
Depend on process media, its working temperature and working pressure
thickness of glass select and selection of the glass is base on DIN 7080
International Standard.

To see very easy maintenance point of view and easy to change of window
glasses, dual window model is more trustable than tube type flow
indicator and also its physical strength and performance is too far
compare ordinary cylindrical tube type view glass. This type of sight
glass better perform against vibration, pressure, temperature,
continuous performance in industries like power plant, chemical plant,
textile industries, pharmaceutical sector, petrochemical unit which 24
hour working plant and maintenance schedule is big headache for them.
Our technical engineering team consider minimum factor of safety 7 at
the time of selection of glass and body shell thickness minimum as per
ANSI/ASME B 16.34 Standard.
Sight Glass size up to DN50 (2”) have square shape cover with 04 No. of
bolt & nuts, for size DN65 (2-1/2”) & DN80 (3”) have sunflower
type rounded shape cover with 06 No. of bolt & nuts, for DN100 (4”)
also have sunflower type rounded shape cover with 08 No. of bolt &
nuts to tight cover + glass + gasket assembly. In our standard
manufacturing range up to DN100 (4”) Sight Glass Body & Cover
casting quality are Investment Casting (Lost Wax Process) method type,
which gives superior surface finish at everywhere in small component
too.
From big size like DN125 (5”) we do fabricate body or sand casting
method casted body provide as any choice of client. Main advantages of
fabricated version sight glass body are Low Cost, Medium Weight, Fast
Production, Prompt Delivery & Custom made dimensions.
Casted Body material of Sight Flow Indicators are NACE MR 0175, ASTM A
216 GR. WCB (Cast Carbon Steel), ASTM A 352 GR. LCB / LCC (Low
Temperature Carbon Steel), ASTM A 351 GR. CF8/CF8M/CF3/CF3M (Stainless
Steel 304/316/304L/316L), ASTM A 351 GR. CN 7M (Alloy 20), Duplex Steel
D2205-4A, CD4MCU, Super Duplex Steel, Hastelloy C22, Hastelloy C276,
Inconel, Monel and others grade on client request.
Hot Oil Jacketed, Hot Water Jacketed, Steam Jacketed, Thermynol
Jacketed Sight Glass & Flow Indicators are also manufacture and
export by Nivz. For corrosive chemical application Plastic / PTFE / FEP /
PFA lined Sight Flow Indicator and Double Sight Glass also manufacture
